Deviant ID by ls269 Deviant ID by ls269
Finally, I have made a Deviant ID! Taken at work, by my boyfriend, Paul (martyr to DeviantArt - or DeviantArtyr, for short).

I don't know who the guy in the background is, and I hope he doesn't mind appearing here! Perhaps he is a closet-Severus-Snape-fan, and will be secretly delighted! I hope so.

You are so utterly adorable!!!! This picture is wonderfully natural and fresh, and the guy in the backround makes me giggle. ;) Do you study at Oxford? Because if you do, I don't know if we can be friends anymore ... lol. Oxford is my dream. Anyway, great picture; thanks for sharing!

  Thank you so much, my dear! I get very nervous of having my photo taken, so it's wonderful to have a positive response to this picture!

No idea who the guy in the background is, but I've been keeping an eye out for him at work (this was taken at lunch-time in the publishing company where I work). I used to study at Oxford (it's a beautiful place, but studying there was a bit scary and stressful!) I still live in Oxford, but the only thing I study now is Severus Snape! :)

hey, what kind of accent do you have?

I used to live with a guy from Manchester, he told me once what his tea drinking record was for one day, it must have been something like 25 cups. You people are weird. But I love it :D

I think it's a fairly straight-forward BBC English accent (although I tend to mimic whoever I'm currently talking to, much to their annoyance! :giggle:) My tea record is probably seven cups a day (from back when I was a student!)

Oh god, having an English accent is my dream (yeah I know...). I don't know which English accent though... They're all nice in their own way (well maybe not Liverpool). Apparently I have a kind of Australian-ish accent myself??? That's what happens when you date an Aussie... But it's still kind of French-ish sometimes... bleh.

the mimic thing is funny. If you tend to do that I think you'd probably be quite good at languages, or at having a good foreign accent at least.

Oh no, I'm definitely not good at languages! I used to speak a little French, actually, when I was younger, but I've forgotten almost all of it now. For some reason, I get really aggressive when I speak French. It just seems like a language more designed for passion -so my favourite thing to do in French is give directions. I love going 'Allez! Vite! Vite! Continuer tout droit! Tournez a gauche!' :giggle:

I'd love to have an Australian-French accent, that sounds amazing! You shouldn't want an English accent - they're only good for being awkward and reading Shakespeare! ;)

it's funny that you view French this way, nice change from all the foreigners who tell me "but French is the language of LOVE! even swear words in French sound nice!" :D

for some reason reading your French words I thought of the way the French speak in the Holy Grail. Go figure :D

I like awkward people who read Shakespeare by the way ;p kind of sounds like my ex boyfriend

 Thank you, I'm happy you like it! Mostly, I make very strange faces in photographs (eyes closed and wincing, for the most part), so I was happy to see myself looking human in this one (even though my eyes ARE closed - that seems to be unavoidable! :giggle:)

 He'll be very happy to hear his photography complimented, thank you! I always end up with my eyes closed in photos, either because the flash startles me or because I'm frantically trying to pretend I'm not there! (The logic being, if I can't see the camera, the camera can't see me! ;)) But I'm so glad you like it, thank you .

I'm glad you like it, though - the smiling was kind of nervous, as it always is when someone's pointing a camera at me! ;))

You're welcome. Hehe. That's okay, some people are blown away by what I write especially the more Poe-esque things. I don't think it's in my eyes, though, so I'm safe.

Ha ha, yesh. No one suspects dark things from me. Ha ha, aw, I'm sorry. Is it wrong to say that I love his works then and they don't give me nightmares? I guess I have a morbid fascination with the horror/dark genre and death, in general - and people's motives.
